The first presentation will feature the Denver Regional Office Update given by the U.S. Census Bureau’s Denver Regional Office. Ms. Tamia Morris will be discussing the current Census activities and events that are scheduled to occur in the near future and the run-up to the 2030 Decennial Census. Secondly, we will have an overview of the Census Bureau’s Population Estimates Program (PEP).  Lacey Loftin, who serves as our Arizona Data Dissemination Specialist with the Data Dissemination Branch of the U.S. Census Bureau, will be leading this presentation. Lacey will give us an overall look at the data available from the Census Bureau’s Population Estimates Program. Our last presentation of the day will feature an update on the Census Bureau’s primary data interface, Data.Census.Gov.  Kanin Reese, Branch Chief, Dissemination Outreach Branch, U.S. Census Bureau, will be reviewing some key updates that the data interface has undergone since our presentation from last year. On Thursday, October 17th, we also have scheduled three presentations. The first presentation will feature the Census Bureau's Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD).  Earlene K.P. Dowell, Program Analyst, U.S. Census Bureau, will give us a look at the data applications available from the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) program. This will involve those data applications that analyze economic and demographic data such as J2J Explorer, Local Employment Dynamics, OnTheMap, Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO), Quarterly Work Indicators (QWI) and Veteran Employment Outcomes (VEO).  For the second presentation in the morning, Lacey Loftin will help us to explore the data tool, Census Survey Explorer. If you are looking for data about a specific topic or area but do not know where to find such data, you can use the Census Survey Explorer to discover which surveys have the topics, geographies, and frequency of release that you are interested in.  Our third presentation of the day will be a look at the American Housing Survey. The American Housing Survey (AHS) is sponsored by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau. The survey has been the most comprehensive national housing survey in the United States since its inception in 1973, providing current information on the size, composition, and quality of the nation’s housing and measuring changes in our housing stock as it ages. Lastly, Allen Barnes, Arizona SDC Coordinator, will give a brief update of the Arizona SDC Network and highlight some of the activities for this past year. This event is free of charge and held for the Arizona State Data Center Affiliate Members and Census Data Users throughout our state.
